1. What was the initial & lightbulb moment that sparked the idea for CodeSkin?
During the COVID period, when outdoor activity was limited, I started going on long walks and developed pigmentation patches on my cheeks. That experience made me truly understand the importance of everyday sunscreen—and that was the moment I realized how essential simple, effective, science-backed skincare really is.
2. In one sentence, what does CodeSkin do?
CodeSkin removes the guesswork from skincare by offering targeted, science-driven products tailored to specific concerns and skin types.
3. What are the biggest immediate milestones you're focused on achieving?
To scale our presence to 10,000 salons nationwide and expand our retail range across more marketplaces—without relying heavily on discounting.
4. Who is your ideal target customer, and how have you refined your understanding of them over time?
Our ideal customer seeks science-backed, result-oriented solutions without the hassle of trial and error. Through continuous engagement with salons, aestheticians, and end-consumers, we’ve gained a deep, firsthand understanding of their expectations and evolving skincare needs.
5. What has been the most surprising thing you've learned about your customers?
The level of ingredient awareness—customers today speak confidently about actives like niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and retinol, which wasn’t the case a decade ago.
6. What does success look like for you, personally and for the business?
Business success is seeing our products genuinely transform skin concerns and earn industry appreciation. Personal success is having the ability to share the knowledge I’ve accumulated over 30–40 years with the community and the next generation.
7. How would you describe your company culture in three words?
Encouraging, open, empathetic.
8. What is your long-term vision for the company? Where do you see it in 5 or 10 years?
I envision CodeSkin as a leader in trustworthy, science-backed skincare—setting the benchmark in the professional skincare market, expanding our footprint across international markets, and establishing CodeSkin as a truly global brand known for effective, evidence-based skin solutions.
