10,000 colleges across over 400 cities participate in the first edition of Franklin Templeton National Mutual Fund Olympiad (FTNMFO)
India’s first ever national mutual fund Olympiad aimed at fostering financial literacy and investment awareness among youth across 400 colleges across India saw the grand finale recently conclude at the premises of Asia’s oldest stock exchange the BSE in Mumbai. The much-anticipated Grand Finale of the first edition of Franklin Templeton National Mutual Fund Olympiad (FTNMFO) launched by FinX bringing together India’s brightest college minds in a live quiz competition that reached a total of over 10,000 college students across the country the majority of which were from Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns saw keen competition between finalists of colleges from a number of different cities.
The Franklin Templeton National Mutual Fund Olympiad, a maiden, first-of-its-kind initiative, featured interactive rounds designed to test knowledge of mutual funds, wealth management and capital markets.
The finalists showcased deep understanding of investment concepts and quick thinking throughout the live rounds. We are proud to share the winners below:

* 1st Runner-Up: Prathamesh Bagad, Chetana's Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai
* 2nd Runner-Up: Varun Suresh, Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore

The event was graced by Venkat Chalasani (CEO, AMFI), who addressed the participants and applauded their enthusiasm for financial literacy. The ceremony also featured industry leaders - Juzer Tambawalla, Director & Head of Sales Enablement, Franklin Templeton – India; Kailash Kulkarni, CEO HSBC Mutual Fund – India; Soumya Ranjan, COO BFSI Skill Council of India; Boni Noronha, Executive VP, Axis Mutual Fund and educators who commended the Olympiad’s role in bridging academic knowledge with real-world financial skills.
