Hyderabad and New Delhi, 16 June, 2026: Indian space-tech startup EON Space Labs has showcased its flagship technologies, all developed and designed in India at Bharat Innovates 2026 in Nice, France, from 14-16 June 2026.

Selected among the top 120 Indian startups, Hyderabad-based EON Space Labs indigenously develops Electro-Optical (EO), Infrared (IR), and AI-enabled imaging systems for space, aerial, and ground-based platforms.

At Bharat Innovates 2026, EON Space Labs is showcasing a series of AI-enabled EO/IR payloads for drones and UAVs, intelligent ground-based surveillance and tracking systems, and compact space and satellite imaging systems.

The deep tech startup recently also developed a Germanium-Free Thermal Imaging System designed to advance indigenous supply-chain-resilient EO/IR capabilities.

Bharat Innovates 2026 was jointly inaugurated by the Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Honourable French President Emmanuel Macron. With over 30 partnerships, including innovation-focused MoUs and joint declarations signed, the event brings together innovative startups, investors, technology leaders and entrepreneurs, with the aim of accelerating international partnerships, investment, and market access for Indian deep-tech companies.

Other eminent speakers and attendees include leading Indian innovators, IIT directors, venture capitalists, and European innovation and industrial leaders from organisations such as the European Innovation Council, Safran, Thales Alenia Space, Sony Innovation Fund, and TotalEnergies.

“We’re extremely grateful to be selected for the maiden edition of Bharat Innovates 2026. It’s a great opportunity for us to showcase our work focused on building India’s technological sovereignty and showcase our work on a global stage,” said Punit Badeka, Cofounder, EON Space Labs.

EON Space Labs 2026 Roadmap:

The deep tech startup is currently advancing several product and market validation milestones across space, aerial and land domains in the coming months. By the end of June, EON expects to conclude field trials of its iDEX-backed handheld thermal imaging system being developed for the Indian Navy in July, a high-altitude balloon-based imaging test at approximately 25–30 km altitude to capture near-space Earth observation imagery, and a planned SpaceX-linked mission window around September–October.

EON Space Labs is also pursuing railway wildlife-detection use cases, including elephant detection on railway tracks planned for a pilot in Odisha, aircraft landing and runway monitoring, and international applications such as camel detection for rail systems in the UAE.

The technologies support defence, surveillance, aerospace, homeland security, and strategic intelligence requirements while contributing to India's vision of technological self-reliance.
